About Saige Ultrasound
Saige is the only specialist imaging provider on the Coffs Coast. We strive to meet the complex diagnostic needs of women and those presumed female at birth at all stages of their lives. Our team is dedicated to ensuring improved health outcomes whilst providing a safe and inclusive space for everyone.
Saige Ultrasound is led a by our highly experienced and dedicated team of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Our doctors are trained in diagnostic imaging and also care for patients on a daily basis. They know the importance of accurate ultrasound for you and your baby first hand. They strive to ensure you and your doctor have the best information to guide your future management.

Our Team
Dr Aaron Budden
BMED, MMED, FRANZCOG, PhD
Specialist Gynaecologist, Advanced Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeon
Dr Aaron Budden is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with fellowship from the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery (AGES) Society. Aaron moved to the Mid North Coast after completion of his fellowship on complex minimally invasive gynaecological care.
Aaron is dedicated to bringing high quality medical imaging in pregnancy and gynaecology to ensure people in the Coffs region receive the best possible care. He is our gynaecological lead at Saige Ultrasound and continues to undertake further studies in diagnostic imaging to complement his surgical expertise in endometriosis and complex minimally invasive surgery.
Ms Ashlee Blackford
Chief Sonographer; Senior Women’s Health Sonographer
A dedicated and experienced sonographer, Ashlee has over 10 years experience in her special interest in gynaecology and obstetric ultrasound. Born and raised locally, she is passionate about giving back to her community by providing compassionate, high-quality care to women at all stages of life.
A proud mum of two beautiful children, Ashlee brings both professional and personal understanding to her work. Outside of practice, she's a keen sports lover who embraces the Coffs community through an active, balanced lifestyle.
Dr Rajit Narayan
MD, FRANZCOG, DDU, CMFM
Maternal Fetal medicine specialist
Dr Rajit Narayan holds Specialist qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, in both Australia and India and has more than 20+ years of clinical experience. Rajit completed his Specialist training in Mumbai. Upon arrival in Australia, he completed his Australian Specialist training and achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians (FRANZCOG) in 2010.
He went on to obtain sub-specialty qualifications in Maternal Fetal Medicine in 2014, and since then has held Consultant positions in Queensland, the ACT and Sydney, where he currently works at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He is the obstetric lead for Saige Ultrasound, reporting ultrasounds remotely from Gosford and Sydney.
